What Overseas Owners Need to Know.
Clear answers on fees, property management, compliance, communication and what happens when your plans change.
How Are Your Fees Structured?
Our management fees and any additional charges are clearly outlined before you appoint us, so you know what is included and what may be charged separately.
What Costs Am I Responsible For?
We clarify the ongoing costs associated with your property, including service charges and any council tax or utilities that remain your responsibility while the property is vacant.
Who Actually Manages My Property?
Your property is managed on the ground by an experienced UK-based operations team, while our team in Singapore handles your enquiries and ongoing communication during your working day.
When Does Marketing Begin?
Marketing begins once completion is confirmed and the property is ready to let. Where a furnishing pack is required, we coordinate this before moving into marketing, viewings, referencing and tenancy setup.
What About UK Tax and Compliance?
We guide you through Non-Resident Landlord registration and coordinate the practical compliance requirements involved in letting your property, including deposit protection and the relevant gas, electrical and safety certificates.
Redpoint coordinates the process but does not provide tax advice.
How Do I Keep Track of My Property?
A dedicated online portal gives you real-time, 24/7 access to your property information, including rental updates, maintenance progress, invoices, tax documents and monthly statements.
Each year, we also review your property’s rental performance against the current market.
How Will I Know if Something Goes Wrong?
We update you through the portal within the same day. If your immediate response is required, our team in Singapore will contact you directly.
Until it is resolved, we provide a progress update at least every three business days.
What Happens if My Tenant Gives Notice or I Want to Sell?
Under the Renters’ Rights Act, assured tenancies now run on a periodic basis rather than ending on a fixed date. If your tenant gives notice, we manage the next steps and prepare the property for its next tenancy.
If you decide to sell, we review the current market, help prepare the property and paperwork, and support you through the resale process.
